Oil change question

Three plugs on the bottom. Don't remove the "pipe" plugs. Why they are there is beyond me...???

Oil gallys on the sump pan
They run from each screen. If you remove then you will drain most of the oil justake sure you dope them up and use proper torque
Oh and 10,000 miles on a oil change sign me up for them cookies. Cause I want to be that stoned 5000 mile or if you feel a lubricity change from running her Hell bender hard. For sale used bank angle indicators. Make your rocket look like you can lean it over no charge for the grin factor

I actually remove the two pipe plugs when changing oil. Doing so will drain an additional 1/2 cup of oil. No need to add sealer to them as they have a pipe type thread. Don't apply what Triumph recommends for torque or you might strip them out, just snug them up (I actually flush the bottom of the plugs with the surrounding bottom case). Been doing so for 12K and no problems with leaks.

What are these pipe plugs you’re referring to?

Make sure your bike is vertical or 1/2 qt or so will remain in cases, I actually tip mine from side to side to get everything out. This manages a full 5 1/2 qt refill, with filter.

It had 8000-9000 on it, at 10,000 it would have been tar, I would think manunfactorers would err on the side of caution.
