During the last winter I had to snip the wires to my heated grips, take them off and then replace them with unheated grips after a small piece of plastic inside the grip broke off making it unusable for controlling the throttle.
The parts are no longer made according to my local dealership, so I can't buy new replacements.
My hands were cold for the rest of the winter and I'd love to replace the originals rather than fit aftermarket parts. Anybody got a set of original bars with the heated grips still attached sitting on a shelf in their garage that are gathering dust and you'd like to get rid of? I live in the UK but would happily pay for them to be shipped from else where
Thanks for reading

Still looking. Posting a set from the USA to the UK meant the only ones found to date ended up being way too expensive to be acceptable. Not looking forward to the next winter as things stand.

Why not aftermarket. I had to do the same thing. Probably the same plastic broke. I was able to put them back into use like you did. I've been looking at the aftermarket stuff and I would recommend you go that direction but buy local. The set I have my eyes on at my local speed shop are about $130.
Best of luck but my experience with this OEM stuff is it's hard to find and when you do it's $$$ like you may have found. Why buy some used stuff that might have the same problem. Seems common. There are some on eBay too. Well last I looked a year ago!

Not to get your hopes up, but I will take a look when I get home in a couple weeks. I may have a grip set for you if you can use your old controller. Again, I'm only promising to look. If I find them, they will be new (as I only had to replace the controller several years back). I've done a lot of moving since then... but have finally settled down in one place.
