As an owner driver of various trucks from old Internationals to early and later model Inters and Macks if I could not fix a breakdown on the side of the road then I had my Father who was a fantastic heavy plant Mechanic and an even better Mate ,a few times he would drive 12 hours all night with his tools and parts to get me going, without him I would have gone broke , or worked for nothing but you are right Sean its satisfying to fix things yourself
Not arguing it's great to carry out the tasks you can .. and saving hard earned always puts a smile on your dial. Do what I can on my bikes , fine with most of the nuts and bolts stuff. Just learnt the hard way to ... well you guys all know I'm sure
Glad to see you stuck to it and got the job done. Just a heads up before you do the final tightening, 12 NM is just under 9 ft/lbs of torque so very little, specially for a big bloke like yourself.
