Spoke to Bubz awhile ago and he has a very small compressor, he said by the time you have a smoke its nearly up. Ill suss out one I think

I have used mushroom plugs with success but prefer the string type.

I carry a bunch of strings, a needle nose pliers, a rasp tool and a string inserted tool.

And a mini compressor. And a pressure gauge.

If it's a puncture, it will usually work a tear prob'ly not.

I also carry cell phone, AAA RV, and AMA Roadside assist...if u r lucky enough 2 have phone signal.

When using compressor, I run engine in neutral to avoid battery discharge.

Plugs are for emergency "limp back" use.

I carry a AAA card good for 6 tows a year for me or anyone riding with me up to 100 miles each tow.

Am I to assume that the Dynaplug Pro is the best repair tool, in your opinion?

AAA should be mandatory if you have a license.

I had a regulator pack it in at the Three Ways Roadhouse years ago.. rang Harley Roadside assist , they couldn't even find Three Ways on the map . Suggested they google in "middle of ***cin nowhere" .. was told it would be at least 72 hours as they needed to get a HD approved crate and approved carrier organised. I was with a pack of 20 bikes heading to Queensland .. never a fan of breakdown vehicle on runs until then. Loaded Dyna up and 'borrowed' regulator off the owner of the HD Dealership in Mt Isa personal ride. Back on the road

did anyone notice the rocket inside that cage? reminds me of a nature show. 'this wild beast was caught in town and tranqualized, we are now taking it back to
the wild to release it'.

Don't know what is best. I've never used Dynaplug.

I have used them 3 times myself, over the years and they got me home or to a shop.

I have been with others that have used them Maybe a half dozen times.

One larger tear wouldn't seal at all. One worked halfway, continued leaking at a slow rate but with a few stops along the way to add air, got him back to civilization.

The others worked fine.

I have used this type once and was with someone that used it once, both times worked;

But it is more bulky to carry along.

I have seen some people, on 2 occasions, use the strings by u igniting them and then inserting them...To get better seal. I've never tried that.

Some people use a liquid adhesive with the strings, for better adhesion.

I've used the strings dry and not flaming. By the time you use it, the liquid can be dried out, if you don't refresh your kit often.
