Just a little FYI: WHIPS have a long legacy with American M.C.s, especially those that fly a diamond. They use the Club Colors and have a quick release. Please don't confuse these with decorative "tassles"!

One additional question about the RAM mount. The base, B-218-1, looks like you ran a long bolt through the top of the ball. Did you have to cut the top of the ball?
