no going back now

Well, just had this fitted to front wheel, £70 new not bad me thinks, bridgestone 160/70/17, rear tyre fitted wrong way round, looks real good on the wheel.

Pardon my question but why would you fit the tyre backwards?

Hi Ponters, It's some thing about the way the pattern faces, the tyre guy i use said thats what to do. Front end buttoned up today, new lights and indicators fitted. Drove it u[p the drive as well today when i swapped the garage round for better access aroound the trike.

Pardon my question but why would you fit the tyre backwards?
Tyres are designed and mad for forces in a particular direction. The rear tyre has to contend mostly with acceleration, the front has to deal almost entirely with braking. Therefore if you put a "rear" tyre on the front you need to have turn it around and have the arrows pointing the wrong direction.

Well more done today mudguards fitted complete with working lights and indicators,. Hping to record it running tomos.
cheers
