NewR3 Exhaust on my Rocket
It's deep at idle. I haven't road tested it yet. I figure I lost about 60 pounds.
 
Sounds sweet to me - a little quiet - yet strong!
I liked that exhaust when i first saw it. It leaves lots of room for bags when you need then as well.
1) Are they Zards?
2) Will they fit to a Roadster?

Shorty Exhaust for the New Triumph Rocket III

Says they do NOT fit a Roadster - presumably because of the ABS.

These do though, and sound very good too. Malcy has them.

If I had $1000 that I was going throw down on a exhaust I would at least get a system that replaces the manifold with a free flowing header. Even though the Jardines lack quality welds and have some coating problems (the black ones) at least they increase flow, hp, torque, and have a nice sound in which isn't absurdly loud. I like to get every benefit I possibly can with my money. lol

I'm guessing the Jardines aren't a weight saving system compared to other add to manifold systems. However I would assume the additional power the Jardines create with the header blows weight ratio thing out the water.

There are other full exhaust systems other than the Jardines but the main thing is get rid of the manifold.
 
Wrap that stock header system in cotton wool when you remove it .. Triumph wants $1,700AUD for a new one. That's just the bare manifold , none of the heatsheilds or chrome covers. Priced a new one a while back.

Seems to me that for slip-ons those NEWR3 pipes are pretty spendy compared to TORs. I would like a header and 3-1; but, all I have seen so far protrude outboard quite a bit more than the stock headers and I already have some right leg heat issues when using the highway pegs.

Those Shortys that Buzz installed look great; but, I am concerned about how they perform compared to TORs. Has anyone done any dyno comparisons with the Shorty?

Both of the NewR3 options sound great. I have TORS because they work well and are a cost effective option. Have same concerns about spending too much on a "compromise" system and also having any more heat against my leg. And I don't like the swept back look of Carpenter pipes or Preds. Perfect Storms seem to come closest but unless i mug Gothlander doubt I'd get my hands on a set. They'll (TORS) do me for now until something that does it all comes along.
