Welcome, Nice Vrod I love the looks of that bike and once I figured out the power curve that engine put a big bug eating grin on my face, problem for me is being vertically challenged the forward controls on that bike and the muscle are, well, I needed blocks on the bottom of my feet to reach the pedals. At least you're already used to a fat 240 on the back it's the only real adjustment most of us need to get used to, you'll also appreciate the 20k valve ck's $550.00 at most shops! that's about 1/2 of what most bikes cost coarse the money you save there will just go to rubber and upgrading the suspension if you're chasing sportbikes thru twisties. These guys know EVERYTHING about the R3 and are quick to help. Enjoy

I had a K&N underseat filter with tors and tune and NEVER wanted for power, I bought mine used and never dyno'd it but I outran a cobra at hwy speed to 135?? when he quit, just sayin' stock for stock the Vrod may cross the finish line a few feet before the R3 but you're just a filter and tune away...
Hey Steve59, Thanks. Yeah I did love my Vrod... but when I test rode the R3... knew it was my next bike! Can't wait to get it!

Hey Guys,

Slowly but surely... the mods are coming along. What I've done so far....

1. DP shorty outlaws/ K&N Filter...and ceramic coated the header heat shields
2. Powder coated rims.
3. Cut fender short and added LED run/brake/turn signals.
4. Swapped out the OEM Dual headlights for "Daymaker" style LED headlights.
5. Added Rivco risers and swapped out to a more aggressive bar
6. Swapped out the OEM grips/ foot pegs for Kuryakyn kinetic style ones for both.
7. Added Jack-Be-Quick bracket
8. Sprayed most of the chrome parts matte black.
9. Waiting for @DEcosse keyless ignition
10. Waiting for @evilbob (Chris) Chin spoiler/belly pan

Next to tackle...

1. OEM shocks to air ride.
2. RAMAir install/ dyno (or TuneECU).
3. Custom lower profile solo seat.
4. Swap out OEM mirrors for lower profile ones
5. Add more light (run/brake/turn) visibility
6. Quick release luggage rack.

Then I can really start enjoying my bike... my harley friends say that that my new bike has been apart more than it has been together...LOL :D.

You'll have all winter to tinker...unless you are snowman and ride all winter...I can manage a few short trips, but that's all. I make miles in the warmer months though!

Hey guys...

Slowly but surely... new look. More to come though...
