new to tuneecu

FWIW....I just did my first shot using TuneECU. I'd all my ducks in a row...Lonelec cable, fuse, switch, etc. Downloaded and installed the driver that Lonelec said I needed. Double checked the computer to make sure it was working correctly according to the instructions that came with the cable. I have the same set up as HansO, 10" notebook running Windows XP. I had trouble getting it to connect for the first 3 attempts and I was running out of ideas so the only thing I could think of was to reinstall the driver. After I did that it connected. I'm not sure if that was what the problem was or not, just saying that's what I did and it worked after that. Good luck, it gets frustrating.

I couldn't get my laptop to connect.(win 7) Went into device manager and manually installed drivers.
Then everything worked ? for some reason the drivers wouldn't install on there own.
Risers, Ramair and a map from HansO added to Dave P. exhaust from last year. Feels like a new bike. :D:D:D:D:D:eek: (hang on)

Ahhhhh, Three coffees and I still cant get my head around this Windows 10 :banghead::banghead::banghead:
Time for some Jamison in my coffee:coffee::coffee::coffee:
Update...... I will stick to the jamison now as I just checked my ebay order for the TuneEcu cable from the states and they also send a disk for windows set up..... I can stop pulling my hair out

Just use the newest ftdi driver and it should work. If not you can turn off driver signature enforcement and it will work every time.
