2022 Rocket 3 GT
Hi All- I am a long time Harley rider and came across a '22 Rocket 3 GT with low miles that was too good to pass up... just too **** sexy! I am able to keep my other bikes- just added this to the stable. I do have a question: I prefer to wrench but heard the OBD2 scanner software doesn't work on the newer models since they're locked. Can anyone confirm or deny this info?

I use the wireless OBDLink MX+ on my '21 Rocket 3 GT with the tuneECU.net software. You can't do everything the Triumph dealer tool has but you can clear faults, reset service reminder, and remap the ECU. You will need an Android phone/laptop to be compatible with the software.

Congrats on one fine purchase. Welcome to the site. There's been a lot shared on the 2 main Rocket versions (pre 2018 and post 2020) with the most info related to the early ones. Ask any question about an early version and it will get answered. The newer version you own hasn't had a lot of problems to be addressed by the owners other than a few with soft brakes, oil leaks, vibration, some electrical issues and cosmetic/performance mods. Some of the new owners have already retuned their Rockets using the Penner tune for an instant increase in performance. Someone will pipe up with the specifics.

Welcome from sunny North Texas. You may find your Harleys feel a bit anemic compared to the thrust from the Rocket. Not trying to slam your Harley's, they are great bikes just an observation.
