Hello Guys,

I'm Portuguese and I just bought a 2010 Triumph Rocket Roadster.
Don't know yet if I made a good choice but I certainly hope so. My short list was:

Moto Guzzi Eldorado
Harley V Rod
Triumph Rocket

This three names were circling my head for weeks. In the end of the day I chose the Triumph Rocket for the looks and power. I'm still a bit intimidated by the weight of the bike.

I'm going to ride it for 1000 miles and will let you know my thoughts.

Take care

So, am I to understand Portugal and Brazil speak the same Portuguese?

Hi Jose

I have not been a Rocket owner long either its by far the best bike I have owned so far
Its a big machine and can be a little intimidating.. I find the more saddle time I put in the more confident I get
Its not a hard bike to ride but there is a bit of technique to get it just right I find
If you find your beast intimidates you just think what it does to those around you on lesser bikes ( all other bikes ) ..and what they must think of you for riding such a monster

Trust me we have made a great choice ...the only problem we have is where do go from here how do you go bigger and better than a Rocket ?

Enjoy

Welcome Jose from exotic Idaho. Rockets are a forever bike. You are going to love it. I'm a short old guy and handle my bike just fine.

Welcome Jose from Texas!
Check your tire pressure, on my Metzlers, when they where a little low it made the bike feel very top heavy!
Now with new Avons front and back it feels more like a 500 pound bike

Welcome from Auss as said pump the tyres a bit harder 42 to 45 psi in the front and 45 in the rear will lighten the tip in and steering also after you have worn the Metzlers get better tyres some like the Avon Cobra front option I love the Dunlop Elite 3 front for it feed back and steering prowess both tyres make a big difference and the rear is also split in opinion but majority go for the Bridgestone Exedra Max some the Avon Cobra rear and there some of us that like the Darkside (cat tyre) but we wont get there as some will tell you Their OPINIONS so just filter out the crap

Hello and welcome to the site from New Jersey, USA, Capitão Jose.

Enjoy the ride and know that you made the wisest decision!
