Changing my rear tire this spring, so I plan to change the drive oil and grease the splines. Question on spline grease, should we be removing the shave and greasing both the output shaft splines and the splines into the bevel box or just the splines into the bevel box?

The rear drive has to come off. Clean and lube both sides. Splines between drive and rim also get a lubing.

I get that, but what about the transmission side of the drive shaft, the output shaft from the tranny has splines on it as well. Do those splines require lube service frequency?

Hey mate thanks for the heads up I uploaded a photo there is a bigger hole underneath as well. So it was inside the gears
Lucky you, you get to see what the inside of the drive looks like. Take pics & post. Seems there are no user serviceable parts. Most probably no one has seen the interior.

welcome from poland.
good luck in overhaul
