Triumph just this year changed the valve ck from 10,000 & 30,000 miles to 20.000 40, 60, etc. kinda pissed me off because I negociated the 10.000 mile tune when I traded my storm in so my $800.00 deal turned into an oil & filter change

Ask your dealer if he will throw in the valve check at 20,000 since you had negotiated in good faith when you purchased your Rocket to include that. Had you known Triumph was going to change you would have changed your negotiation.
My dealer threw in the 10,000 right of the bat, which included the valves when I purchased May 2012. Just had a valve adjusted at 30,000.
I'm in the greater chicago area I'd like to know where and how much the service cost and how many if any valves were out of spec. We've had a couple new triumph dealers pop up in the corner of harley dealerships this year and talking to them they seem to be working pretty hard to develop a clientele. I'll walk out of a car dealer with the salesman holding his ass. But when it comes to my triumph my desire for a good relationship with the dealers makes me a bit more timid dealing. I tagged them for a new battery a week after the sale so when it comes to the 20k service i'll probably just bend over and take it. They do have a new Trophy in the rental fleet i'll try to get overnite though.
Could not make it down to Triumph Detroit, so Classic Motorsports in Traverse City did it. Al is a very good tech. I believe Triumph Detroit wanted 750. I really like that dealer but have to RON when I go there for anything major.
