New Rocket Scientist from St. Louis

hopefully in the next couple of days (just have to line up the bike I will be fitting it to) I will be posting step by step with pictures to make your own and fit a "ignition bypass lighting relay harness" to fix the ignition switch issue
still think that if bike is starting OK then it will be one of connectors either inside the back of gauges or where they connect into main harness

G'day Canberra ,Is this still a problem with the 2011 R3T or had Triumph rectified the potential fault , got me worried now any advice would be appreciated thanks:unsure:
All the recent (2011 onwards they recalled 2010 models) models have the triumph Bandaid fix (that is all it is) but I would fit either an EB kit or homemade relay harness, for the Touring you would only need a 4 pin instead of the 5 pin if you decide to make your own as just mentioned I will be posting soon

The 09 has better light for sur ebut the EB kits is worth it for the protection. What dealer did you get it from? I think there is two in the area unless one folded. Oh and do they have any other 09 down there. Standard is fine because I have extra floor board kit for the Classic anyway so I can fool it into thinking its a Classic :D

Bought the Rocket at Donelson Cycle in St. Ann (St. Louis, Missouri USA). Also bought a 2013 Bonny T100 in January 2013. Absolutely love both bikes and like the idea of dealing with a family-owned business (for over 50 years). Going over there in a few minutes to pick up my old stock pipes and Cat, and will have a chat about the headlight/ignition wiring. I will stop at nothing less than the Eastern Beaver Kit modification, following some good advice from all of you.
