2010 Rocket III Roadster
Greetings rocketeers. Just picked up my 2010 roadster with 2 miles. Dealer said it's the only on in KC till 2011 come out. What a ride!!!!

Enjoy. Had mine for 3 weeks now. What a bike. After breakin and the oil chnge to synthetic, get ready. I've only added the tors so far. I have my key now for my tuneboy setup to unrestrict it. Gonna do that tomorrow after a ride. I can't imagine much more power. The pull is awesome.
Again, congrats on your choice.

Enjoy the new ride and if you want the sissy bar get the high one.

Nobody ever posted a pic of the short one on this site. I bought one and I think it is perfect for the Roadster. My wife says it is comforable, but not the seat itsself.

Thanks, guys! I love riding this thing, and it looks positively evil sitting in my garage.

fat frank -- I agree, the short one should be plenty, especially since my girl is only 5'2". But yes, I may be looking for a different seat for her -- she got spoiled on the cushy one i had on the r1200gs.

Corbin makes this curious contraption, but it's hard to judge how comfortable it is or whether it looks dorky on the actual bike: Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Triumph Rocket III (3) | 800-538-7035

I have had my Roadster for ten days now, it is running rough at about 2000 revs in all gears and first gear is a pain to engage but these are 'normal' for this bike apparently. The front pads are dragging slightly but otherwise all is okay. The roughness has decreased markedly from the first few miles when it sounded like a worn centre stand spring was on the bike. The weather has been good but it is due to change and i really do not want to take it out in the wet if i can avoid it.Just wondered what other niggles new owners have had.

Roadster-rat,

I know what you mean about being a bit rough around 2000rpm, but I don't have a problem engaging 1st on mine. After my GS, this thing seems to shift pretty crisply.

Thanks, TxRIIIRider! You saved me a lot of research time and possibly $$$$. That's why I love user forums.

I had the Corbin Rumble Seat for a while, and NO ONE wanted to sit on the passenger section. Even my then 9 year old daughter (she's 11 now) who weighed probably 50 lbs, said it hurt, and she loves to ride. The edges of the seat in the passenger area rubs the insides of their legs. I thought it would be a cool solution too, but they even preferred the stock passenger seat to this...

Watch out for wheelspin in the rain - opening up to pass cars at 70mph (in 5th) and - wizzzzz!! and a back end wiggle. You'll get used to it but just don't do it mid-corner unless your name is Kev carmichael!
And I only have the tors & tune, nothing more -yet. 42mpg average (UK galls) over the first 2500 miles is better than i expected too.
My wife's 5-2 and finds the seat good, with the tall sissybar, we've done 170miles in a day and she's no complaints
And no probs at all so far with the bike
