New owner - noise question

Pardon my lack of knowledge, just got my R3 a few days ago. haven't stopped smiling for days. don't remember the demo having such a high pitched whine below 2100 to 2500 rpm, it's coming from the engine, not the shaft drive. is this normal? the dealer said it will go away as time goes on. will the 500 mile oil change make a difference? maybe a specific type of oil? thanks

It's probably the gear box.I't's normal, you have straight cut

heavy duty gears in there and they whine on decel.It used to

bother me at first, but I got used to it.

Thanks, does it actually decrease as miles add up, besides me being more tolerant? how about a heavier or different oil?

It will get much better after your first oil change. Use the 15W50 Racing 4T from Triumph.

search the forum for "noise" "squeal" and you'll note my recent red face issues.

Its big its makes noise, like stevered said wear ear plugs, that was my problem.
