You will not be disappointed in the Touring. there is plenty of torque at the low end. I just this past weekend loaded HansO's tune and did a 100 mile test ride. It is awesome. My thought so far is it delivers the power out evenly across the power band. 0 to 120 in nothing flat. I also put on the TORS and it gives the Rocket a voice.

That is a pretty bike. Looks like a private sale. I would ask the owner what upgrades have been done and if they are a member of this forum.

You are correct no tach. I have been thinking about that myself. May be a winter project.

Hello Bill and welcome from Virginia. I have a 2014 R3T (Touring not the Tourer) and have loved it these 47K miles it has given me. Mine does have ABS and is the first out of 28 bikes I have ridden that does. I am sold on it and have used it twice now at freeway speeds to safely help avoid mishaps directly in front of me that left me no escape route.
The only upgrades I have done to mine is add on the TORs exhaust and a new tune. The stock power is great, I just didn't like the sewing machine exhaust note. I gained a few ponies when I did the upgrade but it wasn't significant. The power it has stock is far better than your current ride. When I went shopping for the Rocket, the Roadking was on the top of my list. But riding them back to back along with the Thunderbird, the Rocket came out on top and the RK fell to third, based on my requirements. (I still hold the RK as one of my favorite Harleys though).
Once you ride it the R#, you too will be addicted.

As the owner of a 2015 R3T I couldn't suggest anything else. Stock power is nice but wasn't what I wanted. All I had to do was load a new tune and now the bike is perfect for me. I know I can still increase torque and hp by replacing the exhaust system and air intake but for now I am extremely happy!

This is also the first bike I've owned with ABS and though I haven't needed it, it has come on once or twice (when coming to a quick stop) and it didn't bother me.
