Nice 06 standard set up with Corbin Beatle bags and seat clean looking has the fast color. I can see your rear mount bolt on the right sode Corbin bag needs shimmed out. You should look to make sure so you don't get the rub mark from vibration like I have on mine ;) it just needs a washer between the bag and the mounting bolt. Especially because you custom flames are not as readily replaceable like the Cardinal Red mud guard. Nice looking beast. Anyway below is a enlarged picture showing the whitish rub mark I got on mine. Its shimmed out in the picture but I wasn't smart enough to catch it before it rubbed.

Ya mine did too I found a new mud guard to replace it. Like I said I just added a washer or two onto the back post stud between the stud and back. I do like how the bags mount because its a easy three bolt mount. I remove mine regularly as needed. Even just for washing the bike. Once you find out if the air intake has been changed/updated. I probably got a couple good tunes you can try that will spunk her up a bit. Enjoy take your time once you get used to the beast she handles well. It took me a little bit but I'm kind of scrawny :)

The mentioned possible power commander. But maybe a dyno tune or just a map. He said the old guy had it tuned to match.??? I does pop considerably on deceleration.
I'm not sure how to check for any of this.

Oh ok stock air but at least the k&n filters are washable. I still have a couple of them laying around somewhere. I switched to triple filters, a while back. You probably will to or Ram air no rush it just makes it easier to work on top of the motor and free's up the air box for storage. No hurry though get to know her first.

How or where would I look on my bike to see if there actually is a power commander or some other type of tuner?
Somebody mentioned I should take off the clamshell and look for an extra plug or something but unless I seen a power commander in there somewhere I probably would not know the different

Some put them under the right side cover where the ECU is. Some under the seat but since yours has the original air sustem I'd look under the right side cover. You have to lift the seat to get at the bolts and it will slip off the key lock. Pretty easy there is a little black plastic flashing that come of with it. Its on the upper right corner of the cover. Hides the wire harness coming from the ecu. I see IDK said howdy. In his signature on the bottom of every post he has pdf files one being the repair manual. And a few other helpful file just click on his lots of Rocket stuff and down load it. Especially the manual!!!!
