Hello Dave and welcome from Virginia. You said you needed a touring bike and I say you have one of the best. I have the 2014 R3T with 30K on it now. It's my only bike ATT but I do give it a break when it snows. Sounds like you may catch up to me real darn quick...
And about those other rides, most of us will defend the Rocket to the death but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate other rides too. If you like, start a new thread in "The Final drive" section to show case all the jealousy inducing bikes you have had!
