i haven't fitted the PCv yet , but i had the Triumph TORs tune in it and running in the garage and giving a quick rev a few times it smells quite rich. I will be taking her to a Dyno guy in Moorabin area.
I took the Bike for a ride today to try out the new Exhaust , sounds good not too loud and a little burble on decel but no real pop . May have to fit the PCV to get the pop Bruce .
On mine it had a lot of decel pop with the original tune. Got Triumph Springwood to load the Tors tune with small improvement. That's when I decided to get the PC5. Mark at Serco assured me he could get rid of all the decel pop but had to admit defeat after I had spent $400 on the PC5 and $400 on dyno time. With the PC5 there is no burble or popping except for the usually single super bike like pop between 2000 and 1800 revs on decel. Tuner claimed it was mechanical not fuel-air mix. I have been assured a good tuner could stop it. I now believe this would be true as the exhaust I have now is 2-1/4 reduced to 2 inch and it doesn't pop.
It is loud sometimes scares the **** out of the pedestrians lol, going for a good ride up through the hills tomorrow with some ****** rockets so should be fun . I hope to get some good pics of the ride to show .
Thank god for that I was beginning to think it was just me. It really annoyed me for a while. That's why the pipe has the cone on the end of the baffle. That extra length reduced the pop to what it is now. I learned to ignore it even ride around it if there was a cop in the area. Learn how to make it pop and use it to scare other motorcycle riders. Good fun in tunnels or under overpass's. It's a strange one I still had the PC5 in when I first fitted the CES pipe with the larger diameter baffle and had no pop.
