For all of the members in the Northern Virginia/Maryland area there is a new Triumph Dealership located in Manasas Virginia. I visited the shop yesterday and was truly impressed, good selection of Triumphs and friendly personnel. The main showroom area is still under construction but the temporary location is full of bikes and gear. I know the owner Ken from our paths crossing riding Thunderbird Sports. With so many dealers folding it is great to see a new one on the scene. Ken and his staff know Triumphs and are really optimistic about the new venture........

I was stationed at Vint Hill Farms back in the day. I got my private pilots license at Colgan Airways in Manansas. When I was not working for the military, I was refueling aircraft there to help pay for my flight lessons.

I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and was impressed at the number of bikes that they had on the floor already. They are also a used car dealer specializing in high end cars, particulary BMW and M-B. They seemed very enthusiastic about having the Triumph line.

As part of the Virginia Motorcycle Grand Tour, I also passed by the other new Virginia dealer down in Yorktown. They still have Ducati all over the storefront but the marquee says that the new Triumphs are in.

Scott, if you stop by Manassas please let me know so that I can meet you as that is only 30 miles south of me...

Hey britman what is the name of the new Triumph dealership? I need to find a new stealer to work with as sadly the one closest to me have parted company. I'm not sure if Manasses is closer to me than Raleigh NC(little over 2 hours), but when I talked to the folks in Raleigh on the phone I wasn't all that impressed. I've always been willing to travel for good products and great service.

I found it. It's Triumph Manassas and I just got off the phone with Ken the owner. Seems like a real nice guy. They don't have a dyno and Ken isn't sure if they will as space seems to be an issue for them. He did say that his tech is Triumph trained as well as having many years wrenching on motorcycles. Ken stated he has been buying and selling used Triumph's for a few years now. It's an easy drive for me. I'll just take US17N off of I-95N towards Warrenton and turn right on route 28 and your in Manasssas in a couple minutes. It's the same route I take when I head home to MI twice a year. If nothing else I'll be heading there for factory maintenance. I told him my woes hear, but unless I get into a mechanical issue I think I can get my electronic issues resolved close to home.
