New Bonnie Street Tracker Possible

Yes TC I read the article. My point is I hope they don't drop the 900 series but improve it and ad the new 1100/1200 bike as a new series.

I can't see any way Triumph would ever consider dropping any of the current 900 (865) Classics from the line up. Out of 21 bikes sold through my dealership in the last 2 months 6 have been Bonnes, 4 Thruxtons and a Scrambler. That's 11 out of 21. The 1200 will be capture share in a completely different segment.

I bet she has a nice thump at 270 degrees.
It sounds like a cross between the T'bird and the Bonny. It should be good. The thump on the T'bird is just about perfect - you can notice it's there when cruising, but not enough to be a pain.

Fair enough .. And as Richard said the retro Bonnies are a huge seller and Triumph would be foolish to drop them from the lineup.

That is one nice looking Bonny. The engine cases are beefed up substantially especially where it attached to the front frame rails. Starter looks like it is situated just behind the cylinders under the throttle bodies. Cases have changed. Love the look of the old breaker point cover on the right side case.

I think Triumph is on the right course.

They have triples in the 675, 800, 1050, 1200 and 2300 sizes. They have twins in the 790/865, 1600/1700 sizes. Why not a twin in the 1100/1200 category?

maybe the Indian scout got their attention, The tbird storm only puts out about 80 hp to the back tire so a higher revving 1200 would be a welcome addition, My guess is they'll dip their toes in the water with 1-2 new models like they did first with the t-bird and then let sales dictate where they go from there.
