New aftermarket rear shock!

I like bikes performing well on the roads I choose to travel. All aspects of the bikes matters. I do have some Indians that I have improved motors but not suspension. They handle pretty good for what they are asked to do. Enjoy your improved motorcycle.

This doesn't have any remote preload adjustment, correct? The rear shock is the one thing bout my R3R that I absolutely hate. My spine hates it as much as I do.

All self-contained. I have not touched the shop’s settings. I don’t have a single issue with the front shocks. But the rear? Same company, Showa, I think, night and day difference. The rear, when going across bumps or anything chattery would do this weird floating across feeling. And it was. Floating. This shock must pop-up over that spot and then push the tire back down super fast. But it doesn’t feel harsh when it’s doing it. Totally the opposite. Smooooth. It connects me to the road unlike anything I’ve ever experienced on a bike. Now, solid **** bumps going straight (yeah, bridge-road, let’s try to make those a little more even, construction guys,) it will still pop pretty good but it doesn’t float around afterwards. Right back down on the road, noticeably. Sounds like I’m doing a **** commercial. Can you tell that I like it? I would have bought this shock instead of my Vandemon exhaust in a heartbeat. Hands down. It made my bike THAT much better. I’ll stop gushing now.

I did Wilbers on my K1600GT and it made a good bike even better. The stock shock bottoms out too easily on big bumps and if you increase the compression, the sharp edged ones punish you almost as badly. I'd just love to have remote preload for when I take the wife or kid along. Since my load varies a lot, and often, it is almost a necessity for me.

Other than that, I am all in on great suspension and brakes.

Kewl!
Looks like my 1980 Honda 200
