New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

I'm looking for a full system for mine as I want to replace the headers before I go for a remap - wich will be BHPUK at Burnley.

I was hoping the Paul Bryant system might be ready but he hasn't replied to messages so I'm guessing it isn't ready yet or he's busy or maybe away from the workshop.
Failing that I may look into a custom-made system.

I had my Rocket Remapped at BHP by Cal and his team. I am only on Horwich nr Bolton

Look at the Vandemon system from Australia/New Zealand. I think they are the only manufactuer that do a header and full system option for the Triumph Rocket 3R but it's silly silly money. Nearest stockist/dealer to us is Speedycom Performance in Derbyshire. Ask for Ian.

I miss my 06 R3. I appreciate the versatility of the old standard for touring and 2 up riding. This new model looks to be more specific in purpose dropping the touring and 2 up comfort in favor of style. A sweet bike for sure, but the 2500 looks like anything but an upgrade to the original.

I did look at the Vandemon but I don't like the can and I don't believe the headers are any less restrictive than stock. If it was half the price it would be worth a punt but unless Paul Bryant cmes up with something soon I'll probably go with custom made.

Picky, Picky, Picky! Are you absolutely sure you didn't miss anything?? OMG..why did you even buy the bike? Get rid of it! You never like everything about any bike. I prefer to ride and just enjoy it for what it is, and that's a lot!

I'm guessing (only guessing, mind you) that the OP is a Harley rider who bought a Rocket because he thought it would essentially be a Harley but with a lot more power. It isn't. A Harley is a Harley and a Rocket 3 is a Rocket 3. Nothing wrong with either (I've owned both) but not the same thing so no point comparing.

I think it's best to focus on what you like about a bike. A negative attitude will ruin your enjoyment of the purchase.

On the other hand you can spend the money to correct all the perceived deficiencies and be completely satisfied. It's going to cost plenty.

Sounds like you should have bought a goldwing.
