Yes I let clutch out and was not in gear put side stand down and it cuts out

the only time the bike will run with the side stand down is in neutral the side stand switch is a safety switch on my bike i got my big foot on the gear shifter after coming home from a long 4day weekend and it killed the motor instead of running through the gate
