I did with my R3T and I love it, would never go back to a rear motorcycle tire. I have given up on trying to argue with guys who say D.S. tires are dangerous and not engineered for motorcycles, most of them are talking out of their asses as the have never done it.
That's fine with me ,they can stay with their motorcycle tires.

For my part, I NEVER used the word "dangerous", in fact I poked fun at those who say it'll kill ya.
FACT! Car tires are NOT engineered for motors! There is NO getting around that.
Me thinks someone who states all car and tire engineers "are talking out of their asses" is in fact doing so himself.

You are correct, but not engineered for and will not work with aren't the same. I think that's where the line gets muddy because its not entirely black and white.

I was not refering to any comments that you made 1olbull, only those that have said "dangerous" on other threads from the past few years, nothing that you said.
I did not mean the engineers and tire designers are talking "out of their asses" I meant those bikers that have never tried a darkside tire but are commenting on them without ever having any experience using them,, they are "talking out of their asses"

my 2 cents! I ran a General G Max 225 / 55r 16 all last summer at 36psi my wife and I together are about 320lbs. it works well for me. I still grind the little post off the pegs in turns, only negative would be slow speeds on uneven pavement, bike tends to lean the angle of the road. but its not a big deal for me. I was only getting 1 summer of riding on either the metz, avon or bridgestone. I'm far from wealthy So the 115.00 General just makes sense, I look to get 3 riding seasons out of this tire. oh and its not much heavier than the stock metz, top end I only dropped about 3 mph
