Very nice, Bruce, but it was the VG 4 door that had me drooling as a kid. Especially liked the taillights (go figure). My dad had a plane white one, sadly not a Pacer. I wrapped it round a tree when I was 17. That tree still bares the mark to this day.

Just bought a VE four door today mate .. 225 slant , extractors but otherwise stock. This ones blue.

Just bought a VE four door today mate .. 225 slant , extractors but otherwise stock. This ones blue.

VC, VE, VG all fantastic (for some reason I never took to the VF). The 'S' is the other one I love/d but it remains more or less in a category of it's own.
My dad had a VC before he got the VG. I had an AP5 - 225 of course, 3 on the tree, mattress in the back. My best mate had an EH and my uncle had an XP Falcon which he refused to sell for almost 30 years. Immaculate. And he just about gave it away. They were the best of the "other" makes but not even in the same galaxy as the Valiants IMO.
Look forward to seeing the VE mate. *** you've got good taste.

So took the binoculars out today .. was indeed an old Valiant I'd spied sitting in the shed down the back of the paddock. Long story short I bought it for $750.1979 CM , Charger engine too Be able to use a lot of the other parts on the Hardtop. Can't bring myself to pull apart the VE .. its so original it seems criminal to dismantle it out just for the front guards, grill and a few other bits. Richard you should buy it , it's a beautiful original old car.
