Molly 60 to be discontinued

I would use the Loctite stuff in a heart beat except for the free tub I got from a buddy at Boeing Aerospace :)
good enough for a Super Hornet good enough for a Rocket :D

Oh I'm sure I could "acquire" some; but not worth it at this point ;) no need to risk retirement for a jar of grease! Times are changing fast my friend. Not necessarily bad if you're in the loss control department! But like the PC world going crazy, so did the tightbutts; if you walk out the door with your government pen in your hand, someone is bound to call the IG about fraud waste and abuse! I really don't mind too much...I'd rather not spend the tax payers dollar greasing my splines! :)

Probably not much more than a tablespoon Jim you really just need to clean the old crap of and smear it on if you put to much on it will just push it out of splines and make a mess in the drive shaft tube
HOW often do you grease the splines ?

I got a cancel from Amazon also... I've been calling around to all the Triumph dealers in the area couldn't believe what some of them are using to grease the splines.Makes one wonder about the final drive failures....:( The one dealer that i trust is using Maxima water proof grease. http://www.maximausa.com/product/waterproof-grease/ as much as i like the service there i'm going with the Loctite Moly Paste 51048 Honda has replced the Moly 60 with Moly M77 still about 300 degrees less than the Moly 60.

Hmmmm.... it states that the Maxima grease is blue.... that's the color of the grease that Triumph used on my Roadster. I wonder if it's the same stuff?

Hans - can I include in your order if you get one from OS?:D
no worries Tony but first I have to get back the money from this other mob, currently mid evening will give them a hurry up early to morrow if money does not reappear in my account,
Note to others with canceled orders check your bank acc
