He did it wrong. Never use the bottom of your foot. I have successfully kicked a car door as a "last act of defiance" when they merged into my lane and I had nowhere to go; I used the side of my boot. I do not think I would ever ride up to a car and kick it though. I wonder why did it in the first place…
