Metzler tires

Mounted a ME880 last night on a friends rear wheel (180/50R15 Kawi Voyager) and it went on like butter (pop-pop onto the rim then bead). What's with the Triumph rear wheel it won't let any bun slip on without gorilla arms and a hydraulic press? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

Never had a problem with the Metzelers, Silver - I wonder why

Only problem, I have to keep replacing them with all the miles (darkside may be calling)

Got my new Cobra today and thank god cause I get to come out of the DARK side I find that you have to work entirely to hard steering into curves at High speeds to much counter steering when one needs to be throwing his weight around on the bike. Its just my opinion though some people like alternate life styles me I am straight (up mad man)

I have to admit if I were drag racing a slick would do the trick. but I do spend alot of time at the uper end of the speedo as for bike tires wearing more well I have never got more then 7 K out of a rear metz but then I do excede the normal horse power of a stock beast which adds to tire wear and the grin factor as you look down and se the boost gauge rising above the 10psi mark which is when it is screaming GIVE ME THE AIR :twisted:

This sort of topic comes up every now and again. One thing most of us have found with the Metzler's is they are air pressure sensative. + or - 2 psi is pretty noticeable. That "Floating" feeling you are getting may be a low air pressure "wallow" that alot of us have written about. Another point to ponder is are you running what Triumph say your tires need or are you running what the Tire Manufacturer says their product requires :?: :wink: Try running Metzlers spec.s for the tries and see how you will like the difference 8) .

Hi! -anyone having handling probs with these replacement tires ?

. Ok so this post is 5 months old-so what! I just got my replacement metzlers for my r 3 touring and I had to tell someone that they handle awesome so far-much better than the bridgestones! I think they are more rounded and just got them but they feel like glue. Take curves great!

I've only had them about 70 miles, but they handle awesome so far...I'll have to see about rain. Just drilled 4 small holes in each stock pipe. Definitely a louder, deeper growl. Going for a test ride.
