Mean Lean Angles

Hombre, I just wish we could compare leaning angles and cornering speeds in person, my standard wheels, tyres and pegs (or what's left of them) notwitstanding;). I am reportedly good enough at that game. Another "mean leaning" addict, Wilbur, would love to partake, I am sure. Best. Jamie

If you get a chance, Hombre, make a video of your bike going through the twistys. I would like to see what your mods do for the lean angle.

Will do. Without the engine mounted foot rails, and with rear-rear sets, there is nothing to scrape until you run out of tire. An R3 is surprisingly nimble setup this way.

Hombre, Wibur-t, I am tempted. Silly me, I have beaten numerous hypersports bikes on local hill climbs. I really have. Some (most?) of them "owned" by surprise. Feet off the pegs (they fold up, don't they?), chrome undercarriage (foot rails) then scraping the asphalt (that's a so-called "wear" item, isn't it ?) non-stop from one curve to the other with just a marginal amount of counter-steering and rear-end sliding, engine rpm's 's kept @ around 6'000 rpm's no matter the gear and, once in a while, when the bike starts (usually in a violent fashion) bouncing off that dreaded chrome undercarriage, some belated recourse to the brakes... and split seconds of intense meditation... :D.
