MAYBERRY DAYS 2016

I ate breakfast at Snappy Lunch today. I don't think I've ever had gravy any smother than what I had today. It doesn't take much to impress me but their biscuits and gravy was outstanding.
They have a Pork Chop Sandwich eating contest here later in the week.
 
just pulled in to mayberry campground just south of town... will be getting presentable and then wander into town... the gas situation was weird coming in from the south, couple stations were closed last night and stations right by freeway in statesville were $20 per car, but a mile further in they had all you want... and the mt airy 601/74 station had plenty...
 
Hello gents and JoseR3Wales... I've been laid up with a sinus infection (which started following last years gathering coincidentally) and bilateral ear infection so I have been feeling like I'm on rough seas since Sunday. Feeling some better today I drove out by the Surry Inn but saw no Rockets so returned home with intent to drive back there later this evening. I have some apple and peach pie for desert. Would all be up for a ride Friday through Wards Gap, down the Parkway to Mabry Mills for some Grub? BTW I'm local and have some fuel stashed if needed. Feel free to text me- 3364089969.

am also going to see if they wouldn't mind us congregating here (mayberry campground) at their pavillion as our gathering site... there's a half dozen tables and a fire pit... i'll chat them up in the a.m. and see if they would have a problem with a biker gang dropping in... maybe if i buy a bunch of wood from them or something...
