We'll talk in Mayberry sir. Be safe. 1120151540a~2~2.jpg

Update on fuel situation- most gas stations in the area are out as the "gaspocolypse2016" scare put a run on fuel. I myself attempted to fill a 55 gallon drum with intent to fuel all you coming to Mayberry Days but was told I could get 10 gallons only at the station beside the Surry Inn. They had received a 1000 gallon delivery yesterday and was told that it would have to do them for 10 to 14 days. I tried to go around to get what I could in the drum but all are out.. It's bad when the Sheetz stores in Dobson and Mount Airy are out as neither are right off the interstate as most. A friend traveled from Ashville today and he had difficulty finding fuel. I rode a couple of the routes planned for rides and the smaller stations had "OUT" signs up on the pumps. I'm certain the Sheetz stations will have a truck sometime this week and the NC Attorney General announced the anti-price gouging law is now in effect. I leave it up to your discretion.

I recently changed employers and forfeited the vacation I had intended to use for this get together, my apologies. No matter the cause, I can only ingest a limited quantity of crap from an employer and I was beyond my capacity a couple of months ago so I moved on. That cut my days off to the Friday before. I would rather have been there with y'all for the duration as I have a few things I wanted to speak with the group about going forward into 2017.

You all know I love cooking. I need to do something about that again. Don't mean to be secretive but I wanted to use y'all as a sounding board. I'm not seeking investors, just moral support and free word of mouth advertising if I make a go of this. Triumph riders would be well received, however the Harley crowd is more easily separated from their discretionary spending money. I would be looking for any hungry motorcyclists primarily.

I hope to catch up with a few of you, even if it's briefly. Safe travels friends.

That there surely sux!!!
Were you not the one who initiated this soiree???

F__k me . . . I'm such a wimp about the fuel -- had no idea there was any issue -- particularly with the complete reversal of petroleum import to domestic excess.

Now I'm concerned, given the problem I had my first trip out down there. I can carry an extra gallon of fuel or so -- but that will only go so far before "OUT" signs win.

It still has a few days to get sorted out Paul. I think the ****ed news morons running around, screaming that the end of the world is upon us has caused the run on the supply.

We are still proceeding as planned on our part and rolling for the Surrey Inn Wednesday morning. If things get better, all to the good.
