Master Ignition Switch ?

I really like my Older Rocket....

You can't get over switchified with analog oldness
Good point. I like my 2023 Rocket but hate all the electronics on modern bikes. Just give me fuel injection and nothing else. No fly by wire throttle, ride modes, TFT screens...

Our bike uses the same handlebar button to turn on the bike and start the bike. How does using the on/off button on the side to turn off the bike save the handlebar button from wear and tear?
I guess you dump the clutch to kill her. I use the master switch under the tank. equates to less wear on the handlebar switch. Easy as turning the fuel petcock on/off on older bikes.

No, I use kill switch on the handlebar

I don't see how you are saving wear and tear of the handlebar switch by turning off the bike with the "master switch" on the side of the bike. The handlebar switch turns on the bike, and starts the bike. So every ride it's 1 push up on the button to turn on the bike, 1 push down to start the bike, then 1 push up to kill the bike. You're just bypassing the last press. So I press the handlebar button 3X , and you press it 2X each ride. But we both still press the handlebar button the same number if times to to start the bike. So if the button fails, from use of starting the bike you would still need to replace the whole unit. That's where I fail to see how skipping that 1 press at the end of the ride to kill the bike will save you any wear and tear. And in actually you're introducing unnecessary wear and tear on the side button by turning that switch 2X each ride.

it is like light bulb switch (only a lot more current) the switch that you use most is more likely to fail
on the early models i use the rocker switch so i don't take out the ignition switch.
my thought is price the switches and then make a decision
