Did you use a state certified/licensed/insured contractor for the work five years ago? if so you could possibly have a claim against him, if you used a local handyman not much point chasing them.
 
hey bud I just left norfolk did something come thru last night that I need to worry about? Its pretty chilly up here make me wonder if walmart still has winter stuff for sale.

Guy is out of business. i think he passed. he had a subcontractor do the work. I have no idea who that was. i used a guy from my neighborhood that is licensed and insured with tons of documentation this time.
 
i had a Sailor from my ship coming down (his folks are from there) and my cousin was coming up to visit his kin in that area too. still haven't told my dad. he is going to be crushed. but that's life. i've cancelled my out of area Leave from the navy so i can't go down but i really appreciate the offer guys. i should have a more stable schedule / budget for next year. and i'm going to put more money away just for the trip. i can seal up a couple of mason jars with duct tape and hide them under the house.
