Maggie valley June 2019

I must very regretfully bow out, as much as it disappoints me. The health situation that caused me to part with my Rocket dictates that I do so. Not to go too far into it but I simply don't have any stamina or endurance for a ride over about 50 miles so it is just not possible that I attend. I've lost much of my upper body strength in the period following my Oct 2018 surgery.

I've corresponded with Paul at Joesmoe about options, such as renting a bike in NC, but riding to the rally from a place as close as Charlotte would be beyond my abilities. I'm hoping this is all transitory but I fear my motorcycle touring may be at an end.

Have a great time all of you and I'll look forward to the photos.

Navigator, I am saddened to hear of your disposition. If I may inquire, what operation did you undergo?

Very sad. I would still like to catch up with you if you come over here though.

Drive your rear end down there & keep the chef company!!

Yes what he said. And you can ride my Vegas if you want to do short trips. It's lighter than a rocket for sure. I will keep the chef company while you ride.

You guys are too kind and I too have been looking forward to meeting new friends and catching up with old. Paul did suggest driving but I thought I might feel a bit foolish showing up in a cage. I have't cancelled my reservation. Let me ponder this a bit.

It would mean I will always be at the head of the chow line.

Ian, I'll always make time to get together when we visit Bel Air. I'm going to look into flights to Charlotte
