That's my first memory of Pete too, TC. Bloody character or what.

Remember when/where this was?

Yes mate sure do ... he'd just done another of his epic rides. Hip flask in the pocket of his tank protector. Just after that the 'chase' was on.

This is my favourite . Pete waltzing out of the Brunswick pub after saddle-up had been called. Should have taken the photo a minute later when I asked Pete who the second can was for. Biggest grin and he had them both downed and was on his bike ready to leave with the rest of us.
Pete let me know today he's been without food for 43 days and he's even struggling with fluids now. He's in the Palliative Care unit at Robina.

Pete has allowed me to let you blokes know what's going on as I know others will want the opportunity to say there farewells to a f#ckin awesome bloke.

Like the pic but not his outcome.:(

I'll be digging out a few pics tomorrow and posting them here. Others should do likewise. @peter k we've kept this pretty quite because we all knew you wanted us to but now it's time to give it and you some air. Words that come to mind about you are genuine, kind, considerate, funny, all round top bloke. A riders rider if ever there was. Words that come to mind about your situation are bugger, unfair, cruel. Don't know what else to say.

Pete, Doesn't happen often, but it's one of those times ol mate, i have no words that can communicate how i feel. Phuck.

I don't have any pics just very happy memories of the time at Hervey Bay chatting and listening to you. To say I enjoyed your company is an understatement, what a top bloke you are. I am lucky, lucky to have met you and enjoyed your humour and wit.
Thank you Pete.

Catherine and I just read what you blokes have had to say .. it's 5.45am and she's crying.
Guess we've all met our share of dickheads and no-hopers along the way and it just makes you wonder .. I know facing the loss of a riding mate that's always been there .. rain ,hail or shine and keen to ride .. that you've really enjoyed spending time with takes some accepting . Knowing that Deb is loosing such a loving and devoted husband and father is heartbreaking. Pete be the first one to acknowledge he's had a full and rewarding life and like some of us knows he's lucky to have lasted as long as we have .. still f#ckin sucks.
