I have a 2011 Rocket 111 and short legs. Standing on my tip toes at trffic signals is not fun. What do I need to lower the bike to stand flat footed. Being 77 doesn't help much. Any info woulds be most welcome. Thanks in advance. Larry:confused:

Welcome to the site Larry.
Got any pictures?
To lower the bike there are a couple of options.
first, you could buy shorter shocks.
If you like the stock shocks and don't want to do that,
decrease the tire size.
I know my 225 X 55 is to tall for the wife,
but her 225 X 50 sits her down a couple of inches lower
where she's comfortable.
hope that helps and again,
welcome to the site from Oklahoma, U.S.S.A.

As Skip said you can lower the rear shocks I installed 11.5" 440s on my bike, when I ordered my new seat from Corbin (many years ago) i asked tham to scoop a wee bit out of the seat just to drop my arse a wee bit more.:D

G'day Larry and welcome from Australia. 77( assuming that's years old) and still teararsing around on a Rocket ... how cool is that ;). Made my day reading that.

You can also lower the front quite easily by loosening the tripple clamps and bring the forks up thru them an inch with out upsetting the handling then if you get shorter shocks you should be sweet:) Oh and Welcome from Auss:cool:

Welcome Mate,
I got 1" shorter Hagon Nitros shocks on my 2010 Roadster, I can now stand flat feet at the lights, but I do scrape the pegs ALOT more now.

Can lower it by putting a solo seat and smaller shocks that what I did for stb bike and now she's flat footed
