Motorcyclist killed Wednesday night in McMinn County

A McMinn County man was killed Wednesday night when the motorcycle he was riding hit a car head-on.

Mark Hart, 69, of Etowah, was traveling south in the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 411 near County Road 410 around 8 p.m. when his motorcycle struck a Chevrolet, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Hart was ejected from the bike and died on the scene.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman, was not injured.

Wendy- I'm sorry for your loss of a good friend and for his family's loss. I think whenever we hear of such accidents we can't help but feel a common connection, even when we don't know the person.

Well since he just left the bar I am assuming he was drunk.His fiance tried to get him to ride with her but he refused.She tried to stop him from the wrong Lane but it was too late. She said he was dead on impact.His bike exploded when he hit.Her and the girl driving the vehicle did manage to drag him away from the fire.
I just want to smack the **** out of him for being stupid!

Sad lose just glad he did not take anyone with him, last year a pal of mine was leaving the bar and wanted to ride his bike home and nothing was going to stop him until I cut his plug leads in half, the stupid fkuc still does not speak to me
