Not by much my friend. Not even enough to say it will walk away from it. Pretty much equal. Riders weight would be the factor here on which is faster. Besides some may even think that a bike is not just judged by how fast it is but by other factors. Reliability, comfort and handling are some key factors. Granted all bikes have their problems but some have more than others. Just because you own a certain brand of bike does not make it King Of The Hill. My post i believe was very neutral and not bias just stating facts. Granted this is a Truimph forum and opinions primarily will favor the sponsored brand.

Keeping it real:

The scout is a Sportster copy that's better than the original.

It's pretty like all Indians these days.

It's slow and the Thruxton will wipe the floor with it.

The thrux has 20% (12lbft) more torque and weighs less...

Rode both just don't see that. Besides all that the Scout and a Harley have nothing in common. It is like comparing a Victory to a Harley. Kind of missing something there i believe it is called Push Rods. Overhead cams;);););););););) First introduction of the Indian scout was 1928. Good bike then even better today. Wrong answer anyhow. The Thruxton R makes 84.65 at 97. 92 What your posting is the TFC model. Either way you throw a tuned aftermarket exhaust on the Scout to match the Vance & Hines found on the TFC model and at less cost you have a Bike that is a even Match. Love the conversation :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

OK have enjoyed the conversation up till now. All i have done is based my stats on facts. Now you have let your emotions write a check your ego can not keep. I have a friend in OK city that has built a V max. He is more than happy to take your challenge.

Me to. Let me set this race up. Can fully understand your position after all of your hard work but my money rides o the V-max. Done playing.

This new Rocket is an all out modern competitive big cruiser. Maybe to updated for some on here who like to tinker and build but they will sell at least as well as the older styled bikes. The looks are to subjective to debate, you like it or you don’t so I will not be ate that.

There are those out there who wear fancy boots and riding gear that will appreciate the fancy brakes, upgraded electronics, edgy wheel and shocks. The single sided swing arm and new light weight frame will yield a more sporting ride that will suit the riders capable of using those features. The clean internal wiring and aluminum components will attract the riders that care about details like aesthetics.

I’ve been called fancy before and I’ll own it.;)

Ok, Ok DrD, I like it too. Even with raggedy jeans and second hand old boots :laugh::laugh:
