Looking for Final Drive Unit for Rocket 2005

Mine is a 2006 black engine VIN 268096 so it's an early black engine, where does it fit for the updated parts?
As far as I know ALL black engines have the updates to trans etc. There may be later minor changes to the Roadsters and it is essential to use reliable parts interpretation and model matching.
Some US dealers parts compatibility programs are flawed and group all R3 model years together and I often have to refer and cross check a few different ones around the world that may provide additional fitment notes cover particular parts and provide multiple part number options/application from the parts diagrams.

I find an Aussie Triumph dealer listing system the best and I have not found similar elsewhere.
But even it needs checking or further clarification from alternate sources.

E.g. click on parts image part #12 for details and links to 3 options (click each again for details) with all detailed further in the accompanying parts listings.
Clicking on the number in image or listed parts will also color highlight the part # in image.

Make sure that your problem is a bad final drive and send me a PM so we can converse. The drive is from a 2007 Classic. I can search the garage and take pics if you are interested.

There is one going on eBay in Australia (not mine) for Au$695 (US$500) but they weigh about 15kg packed from memory so would be Au$192.70 (US$140) postage.

I have one out of a 2014 R3T. Has 3200 miles on it. Just converted bike to Trike. I would check with the factory tech rep. On the Older BMWs we would swap the final drives around. Gear ratio was set up for type of riding . It you wanted a sidecar , then you went for the lower side to give more torque. For the Voom-Voom folks you would get the higher side. I believe you will find that the R3 will be go along the same way. The touring model has more torque ( still lots of speed ,just takes a little longer to get there. , where as the Roadster is more for top end speed.
If you think it will work Message , call ot text. 405 202 0968. I can live with $200 plus shipping.
One more point. I am leaving on a bike trip Sunday to Great Falls MT, expect to be back the 30th.

The splines are worn off. It is worthless.

Used Ausie one

The splines that go to the output shaft have a slight step.
This is wear. The splines on the rim side are perfect.

Look at the splines on the used one Ishrub posted. Those are almost gone.
Used Ausie one
Are we all looking at the same thing?
Yep @1K9 , yours is worn with that step, your original prop shaft must be similarly worn too or worse.
In my discussions with @Mittzy it seems the prop shaft male teeth tend to wear more quickly than the receiving diff on used examples he has seen.

That Aussie one on eBay

The 'Rim side' of diff look similar.
The one on Aussie eBay

Your one 1K9

That is a great offer and price!
Unfortunately for @markur the Black Roadster diffs from ABS versions 2010 onwards will not fit earlier Rocket IIIs.
The earlier silver R3 diff does not fit later ABS versions and vice versa.
The old Boxer BMW diff swaps for gearing changes option does not exist for Rockets as there is ONLY one fitment for each series and I do not believe the final gearing changed but may be wrong.

I do have a low BMW R65 diff on my R100RS chair but probably not required for a Rocket as I doubt a chair worries the Rocket's torque output.
