Longhaul Touring Seat

I'm looking for an optional seat that offers more comfort for my wife and I. We rode a couple of hundred miles yesterday. Near the end of the ride she started complaining of discomfort. She wants a new seat that's wider. The Triumph web site has a Longhaul Touring Seat with a rider's seat measurement of 18" wide, but no passenger dimensions.

Does anyone know if the rear seat is wider than stock? If so, how much wider?

She also does not like the way the Triumph back rest hits her. Apparently the top of the pad is the only part that touches her. Anyone made adjustments?

I had the same issues with the pillion, and after the thicker seat, had the same issues with passenger back rest. So I traced mine (drivers backrest), tore apart the stock one and used the mounting bracket with my newly cut out back rest and sent it to Russell Day Long Saddles (they made the seat) to have it covered and problem sloved. My wife really enjoys the seat for the long hauls.

If you want the most comfort available the Day Long is your best bet. Expensive, not the best looking seat (you can't see it when you're sitting on it), but probably the best available.

Not sure I can afford one right now. The Triumph is $322 at MADSS. Anyone know the rear dimensions?

Does Russell build the seat on the customer's pan or do they sell a complete seat?

You send them your seat along with pictures of you on your bike and your inseam measurements. They make the seat specifically for you.

Longhaul width

1 and a half inches wider for the rear and deeper.

Also the Longhaul Back Pad is much bigger. Note that the Longhaul has a different covering material to the standard seat and back pad so the Longhaul Back Pad needs to be bought if you want a perfect match.

The Longhaul is the best seat I and the wife have ever had. All day riding with no discomfort.

$630 for vinyl both seats, back rest, install my supplied heaters . WORTH IT IN MY CASE

the passenger pad on the long haul seat is about an inch wider on each side, the rider portion is a lot better than stock but it does put you forward about an inch over stock since it is making room for the rider backrest mounting setup.
