Black silicone will keep gasket in place just be careful with amount. and lube the under tank connection to improve connection and decrease gauge function problems. silicone grease. JMHO and two cents worth. and if you have added risers with back movement loosen handlebar clamps and roll forward a bit to clear tank rocking.
