Darn, Doc!!!
You are indeed a man of taste & distinction!
Ross Langlitz and my Dad (Indian Dealer and northwest MC guru in Tacoma, WA) were friends in the late 40s and early 50s. Dad always wore a Langlitz jacket and in much later years (1979-1981) I did also while a motor cop in Tacoma. Many PDs equip their motor cops in Langlitz jackets. When last at Langlitz (12 years ago) the son told me that a huge amount of their leather is sold to San Fransisco ????
I still have and frequently wear my Langlitz custom made jacket. Not so much the trousers anymore as both are heavy and bulky compared to the new multi-seasonal textile with crash pads.

Cowboys wear them for protection from the brush while riding horseback - much slower than one rides while aboard a motor.
Leathers on a motor are for crash protection. Do you value your butt-n'-nuts?
These are mine...nice fit...i havn't worn leather jeans much as prefer my kevlar jeans so the leathers probably feel a bit strange...well made and not bulky looking...
Features:
Have worn chaps over the years, both for ranching in my youth as well MC riding. I also have leathe pants but prefer the chaps. As the day warms I can stow tge chaps. My present chaps have an abrasion on the left side and at the knee from when they saved me from injury. I also have synthetic pants for adventure style riding along with kevlar lined cargo riding pants
Thought the same way. After the ride to Talahina Oklahoma and observing how well Lupe did riding with chaps figured it would be worth a try. Glad i did. Very practical and actually comfortable.

Obviously with no ass and no balls covering, comfort is improved.
Weather and crash protection are the trade-offs.
What your priorities are is all up to you, Amigo.
