2013 Roadster
I was cleaning my 2013 Roadster, Saturday 3 weeks ago as I was going on a longer trip Tuesday when I noticed that the radiator was leaking out of the core, probably done it for a while as I thought I could smell coolant but never saw a puddle under the bike.
I rang a couple of "Stealerships" to see if I could get a radiator there and then, but no. One "Stealership" asked "do you want the whole radiator?" I was very surprised over that question as I didn't think that I could buy half a radiator. I told them "Yes! The whole radiator" - "That will be $1,600+ and by the way, there isn't any in Australia." I thought "Wanker" but didn't say it out loud and hung up.
I had just enough time before the tire place closed to get a new tire for my Tiger XCX and make a sissy bar up as the wife doesn't want to sit on a bike without one of them and away we went on the Tiger.
Some people have fitted an aluminium radiator on their Rocket and I have heard of some of them only lasting a year before they starts to leak.
I now have 4 options (or maybe more):
1 - Buy a Triumph radiator and pay over $1,600 and wait for it to be sent to Australia
2 - Get the old one re-cored locally
3 - Buy an Aluminium radiator and hope it will last a few years.
4 - Buy a car radiator and modify it to fit the Rocket
5 - ??
Any of you guys that have experienced problems with the radiator and have solved it?? I would like to hear.
I don't want to buy a second hand radiator and I don't mind paying for good stuff but $1600 for the oem seems a bit high to me.

I have one of the chinese ones 2.5 yrs but theres one now out of Australia thats really nice. and either way you wont get a whole radiator from the ebay chinese ones or the really nice one from Australia 🇦🇺 that the ones that bought i think were impressed with craftsmanship. the fan makes it a whole radiator i guess, that was funny

The rad caps r very soft metal and mine flexed and looked like it was coming out of rad core all i done was slighty bend the cap tabs back in place and it fixed the prob.
Also a hose will leak and run down the hose and look like rad leak.

Got a chinese radiator last week, very bad.... Top hose wrong angle, hose connection at the cap wrong angle. Both cause the radiator doesn't fit. Both vertical sides (don't know how they are called) that hold the covers, are bend inwards quite a bit. The covers are under a lot of stress to mount them.
My radiator leaks at a connection of the cooling block and the horizontal bottom. Brought the original radiator to a local repair shop, wouldn't be a problem he said. Costs will probably be between €50-100. I'll let you know how this ends🙃

Do not buy it on eBay, besides dearer their International postage rate stinks!
They will ship for free to Aussie buyers though and Australia Post postage is much better.

I am happy to buy and ship for you or @Kevin frazier anytime. Not sure what direct purchase freight rates are but happy to try them too.

Just rang PWR. They said they don't make them any more as there were too many variations in the rocket radiators so too much re-work. It was not worth the trouble.
They were selling them for about $1100
I checked out eBay and noticed that the pictures of radiators there didn't seem to match up my bike. Same goes with the pic. on this forum where the in and outlet is to one side and mine is in center.
Also rang a local radiator place that advertise that they re-core bike radiators but when talking to them, they couldn't do it as they can only do copper radiators.
Hmm, - maybe its time to make my own alu. or modify a car radiator or at last resort, buy one from the "stealership"

Great that you have contacted them and got an answer I have to check my emails.
Re the photos here and on websites not matching your bikes actual radiator:
They state in ALL the listings from various suppliers that the photos are an example of an radiator and not model specific.

Here is another at Au$670 free delivery

But I have found another listing for that radiator on eBay.

Best price is $582.29 delivered in Australia.
