Much like many cars, decent petrol normally aspirated to smaller unit with turbo.
 
I hope I'm wrong but I think emission regs alone have killed the big triple off

The R3 got Triumph plenty of attention but was never a great seller .

My local dealer swears there will be a new 3 litre model I'm not so sure

I was asked to look at a prototype last year be it Virtual. At the time it was 2500cc and 170 hp.

As far as Rocket Sales that would require an effort and a dealer network. Triumph is great at preaching to the choir, but has never seemed to know how to penetrate the American Market. I do thing the new Speedmaster could be huge in America.

It amazes me when I go out on the Rocket or my America that no one knows they exist. Sad just Sad

As long as Triumph uphold their obligation to supply part for 10 years if they stop production. I gues they would have to if they want to continue to sell Speedmasters and Bobbers to Americans
 
I don't understand why there aren't more Rockets here in the USA, why there aren't more buyers. I've always had Harley's (45ish years now) and always liked and loved them, in fact have two as we speak!! To me Harley's are the best looking and best sounding bikes around, but speed wise they're absolute dogs compared to the Rockets. It'll be a real shame if Triumph quits producing the Rocket :mad::(

In the US it all comes down to marketing and the 'MURICA FIRST attitude. Even if Triumph had no maintenance issues, phenomenal dealer support and stock everywhere, they'd still not sell because the 20-50 year old crown hasn't been indoctrinated to buy Triumph like HD.

I do see more of the smaller Triumphs in my area than I expected though.
