Just got Dyno'ed - StripedApe Tune - Very Fat

I understand the timing is different on the Roadster.(2010 and up). The peole who have altered there timing to unrestrict should have tables to use. Yes, If you use the tuneecu t unrestrict and open up the bike, you can then use the PCV to change your A/F ratio. I don't think they make the autotune feature on that year bike.
If the PCV comes dwith autotune for that year, you can program your desired A/F ratio in ad it will automatically start to maake changes to get it right up to a 20% increase in fuel. You then load that info from the autotune into your PCV and you can do it all agin till you get it perfect.

Hi Greg,

Well, just a "half report" at the moment. Just got to work (50 miles highway) and I can definitely feel a slight loss of aggressive power on acceleration. I guess that's a direct correlation of gas not being dumped into the cylinders such as with the "StripedApe" tune.

The roar from the SuperTrapp in mitigated somewhat as well; by the 12 disks and endcap. I sort of like the new tone though. Also, the endcap and disks have turned color from the stainless steel look, to a very pretty bronze looking color.

Since I was "goosing it" on the way to work, I'll have to fill up during lunch and then try to maintain a steady speed home, to check mileage. That's going to be difficult (to control myself with the throttle).

Greg, what was your A/F ratio with your Goodfellow tune that you had developed? Was it lean? I didn't see any Dyno results in the Tone Library for it.

Also, can you tell me more about the Regulator tune? Is is fat or lean?
 

Regarding the color of the endcap and disks; I pulled this from SuperTrapps website in the FQN's

Pay attention to the coloration of the discs. Little or no disc coloration indicates a possible lean condition (remove one or two discs). Black or sooty discs are indicative of a rich, or oil burning condition (add one or two discs). Discs that turn a tan or golden color indicate an acceptable balance of fuel mixture and exhaust flow
 
To answer, I'm running a fairly custom tune, can't say much more. After putting the Preds on I used TuneECU to load a dyno'd tune from Leif (he has TORS), as I thought it would be better than the stock tune.
That's the tune that was on the bike when the dealer put TuneBoy on it and edited/dynoed the bike from there.
Based on the dyno printout, the did 55 dyno runs.
I tossed the printout to Wayne @ TuneBoy & he commented that the fuel mixture looked ok, though it is a tad up in the lean area.

I may take my Rocket in to the Dyno, and have this current (Goodfellow) tune analyzed, specifically for A/F and of course, power and torque. I think I'm going to have to drill a hole of the center of the end cap though, so they can get the sniffer in the pipe.
 

wayne tripp's dyno was reading 139/hp 141/tq ...

the dyno jet tuner was showing 153/hp 156/tq ...

the dyno jet a/f was 12.3 @ 1200/2800 13.6 @ 2900/3400 12.8 3500/6700... ign was left stock... remember, these are targets for my bike. your's may vary somewhat. the color on the disks indicates you're very close to ideal though. and, by the way, check the speedo setting. it was altered in this tune to compensate for my car tire.

the regulater pred tune is more agressive yet keeps the same gas mileage as the goodfellow tune. this tune was done by wayne at powertripp performance. I like that one also...
