Jamie,
I'm proud for you.
I test rode the T-bird twice,
almost pulled the trigger, really liked it alot.
Then found this extra Rocket just sittin,
needin a good home.
It followed me home so the wife let me keep it.
Congrats on your new Bird.
Good choice, maybe this will slow you down and keep you safer. (doubt it)
That was the most comfy bike I ever rode, even though it was just for a couple miles I was tempted to ask about a trade when I brought it back.
Almost forgot what I was going to ask you .... Is that 1700 upgrade done factory or at the dealer? I assume the TOR's have to be done by the dealer since they are "off road use only", but I didn't see where the jugs were done.
The 1700cc kit is a only dealer-installed option, at least at the moment. Next April Triumph will release a Limited Edition 1700cc ex-factory.
The TOR cans : either long, i.e. std-looking, with a reasonabaly muffled sound or short, which are too loud IMO. They are on the accessories list, dealer-installed as well.

Beautiful. I want one too. Don't think my wife will accept another bike in my garage or the T-bird would be it. Just turned 60 myself, lots of years and miles left in us.
The problem, Jim, is that particular color was for 2010 only...now you can only get the Storm in that configuration direct from the factory (1700). I had to jump on it back in November as I was told there were only two left in the US and it had to be shipped from California.
It is a great color...I'm glad I was able to get it...maybe in a year or so they'll (Triumph) bring that color back. Now I just have to hope they'll put it on a R3T for the 2012 year...can always hope.
Not much going on T'Bird-wise on this forum, I have regretfully noticed. I tried a US-based, T' Bird-only forum for a short while, but I was taken aback by the *****in' that was going on in there about the T'Bird (e.g. endless and obssessive posts about "belt tension and/or alignment" , minor teething problems being blown up as "major design flaws" , etc. ) and a relative lack of humor. I have resigned from it...
