Over the last year, I have spoken to my dealer, called Triumph directly (they are just a few miles away outside of Atlanta in Newnan, Georgia), spoke to the Rep in person at Triumph open house; after about 10 months, they, Triumph agreed to provide the repair kit and I must foot the cost of the service - a whopping $1500.00. Moaning and groaning, complaining that TRiumph did not care and was infact letting me GO MY OWN WAY, I agreed to the service. On Jan 28th, 2012, I took my Bike to the Dealer - [I was given a loaner R3T for the duration of the service], every two weeks or so I checked, finally on May 20th,2012,got it back.
Positives - it feels a bit better; shifts well.
Negatives - downshifting to first it is still hit and miss. Grates and goes to neutral - so just as before.
WORST OF ALL TRIUMPH WILL NOT WARRANTY THE REPAIR -WILL NOT WARRANTY ANY OF THE PART IN THE KIT. WHEN ASKED THEY [TRIUMPH] CLAIMS THE KIT WAS A GOOD WILL GESTURE INTENDED TO IMPROVE SHIFTING OF THE GEARS: THEY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A DEFECT OR NEED FOR RECALL, LIABILITY OR FAULT.
HOW CAN THEY BE SO UNCARING? THE MOTO SAYS IT ALL -GO YOUR OWN WAY. JUST GO AWAY.
