Triumphs, but no Rocket just now.
Taking my son to school this morning I changed down to second at the bottom of my street and it just popped into neutral. Dropped down to first and changed up to second and it popped out again. A little further on it popped out of 3rd (GiPro also showed 0) when decelerating. Put it in second, went round the corner and it popped out when accelerating. When I got to school finding neutral was easier than normal - softer - but the light didn't come on until I gave the lever a gentle tap. Riding home it seemed a bit better but still popped out of second once round a corner. Seems to be klunking into 2nd the same as it usually does into first. Going into first is also a lottery now and it seems to be finding a neutral both above and below 1st.

No unusual noises and it's never done this before. Rode home yesterday, all fine, and parked it. This morning it did it with the first gear change.

Before I take it to the dealer - which I don't want to do but noone else seems to want to touch Triumphs around here - any thoughts or suggestions?

Yeah I wish I had some words of wisdom for ya too. but well, I don't..... kinda like a birthday card with no money in it.... lots of good intentions and not a hell of a lot of value....

Can you believe that! A fellow Rocket owner asking for advice, and thats the response he gets!

Let me tell you something my friend! Your problem is this.........................

Nope.......

Got nothin......

Uhhh... Good luck with that.....

Sounds like a de-ten spring. I was able to have mine replaced without removing the engine , seems most dealers will tell you motor has to come out for it to be fixed.

There's a place here I really trust but they've already suggested I take it to the dealer because they'd have to get parts from there anyway. From the sound of it, parts are the least of my worries. Any idea how it was done so I can have another discussion with bike shop before I go to the dealer to see if they'll have a go at it?

I had a similer problem a while back Richard was somthing called the gear shifter actuator they had my bike for about a week pulled the motor out and installed an upgrade and now she shifts smooth as. Much better even than when it was new . It was a warrante job so i dont know about cost

That maybe the part they did on mine not sure .
But if it was im glad it was a warrente job because thats exactly what they told me also and they pulled my engine out . They said something about a gear actuator or something.

The guy at Joe's said it sounded like a gear actuator. Engine out etc :( No warranty either. Guess I just have to take it in and hope for the best, although deep down I'm hoping that because it seemed to happen overnight it will be all good in morning..............not really. F*ck it. @#%$&*#@

All the best mate hope its something simple and in expensive
It does sound alot like the problem i had though and it can be rather dangerous if your chucking a u turn or something leaning and it pops into neutral
All the best mate goodluck
Maybe triumph australia will come to the rescue  i think it is a recognised Issue not sure worth a try though mate ;)
